I am Chelsea Bint Khadija, a female muslim therapist & with Allah's permission, I aim to provide a safe & non-judgmental space for individuals seeking compassion, guidance, and healing. My integrative approach is firmly grounded in the profound wisdom of Islam, drawing inspiration from the Quran, Sunnah, and the understanding of the Salaf. As an islamic therapist, I aim to lead those looking for an islamic counselling session on a transformative journey of self-discovery, empowering you to navigate this world (Dunya) and prepare for the hereafter, all with the ultimate goal of pleasing Allah.

Finding the right female muslim therapist to trust and talk to can be difficult - let's take a brief moment to appreciate you coming this far into your research and showing an effort to change, not everyone can say that about themselves! Right now, it is still difficult to assess whether I am the right islamic therapist for you, and that's what's most important. When deciding on a muslim therapist, many things play a role, including specialty, personality, cost, and scheduling. When I went into therapy, I was looking for someone who would understand me and whom I could relate to - so, let's take a little detour into who I am!

Yes, Islamic counselling at Lillahi Counselling is completely confidential. We adhere to strict ethical guidelines in accordance with the BACP to ensure your privacy and trust are maintained throughout the counselling process.
Islamic counselling is beneficial for anyone who seeks mental health support within the framework of Islamic values. It is particularly helpful for Muslims who want to address issues such as depression, anxiety, marital problems, and spiritual crises in a way that is congruent with their faith.
Islamic counselling itself focuses on a collaboration between faith and therapeutic processes. Having said that, I follow an integrative and holistic approach to counselling and thus work with a variety of Muslim and Non-Muslim clients. Islamic counselling and every other type of therapy is judgement free and confidential!
The cost of an Islamic counselling session at Lillahi Counselling is currently fixed at £60 per session as a standard rate. There is a discounted rate of £55 per session for clients with financial difficulties as well as a Student rate of £50 which is applicable to clients who are currently studying, receiving benefits, on maternity leave etc.
As I am currently an islamic counsellor in training, it is my aim to offer affordable islamic counselling sessions so that they are accessible to as many people as possible in shaa Allah. However, if you have other extenuating financial circumstances, please get in touch to discuss potential fee reduction - with Allahs permission, we will find a solution!

A typical islamic counselling session at Lillahi Counselling lasts for 50 minutes. During an Islamic counselling session, you can expect a supportive environment where your religious beliefs are respected and incorporated into the therapeutic process. Sessions may include discussions of Islamic teachings, Quranic reflections, and practical strategies to address your concerns. Please note, I am not an islamic scholar and will not be providing any advice or opinion on islamic rulings.

By integrating Islamic teachings, this approach provides a comprehensive method for addressing both emotional and spiritual well-being.
No, you do not need a referral from your GP to access Islamic counselling services at Lillahi Counselling. You can directly book an initial consultation here. This allows you to seek the support you need without any delays or additional steps, making it easier for you to begin your journey toward mental and spiritual well-being.
If you prefer, you can still discuss your mental health concerns with your GP, who can provide general advice and support, but a referral is not required to access islamic counselling services.
